Al-Morshed magazine has released an article about Geographic Information System (GIS) and the new automation in preparing guide maps for service groups project. In Hajj season 1428H, the GIS department at CO-Ordination Committee for Arbab Al-Tawaif EST implemented advanced automations issue maps from the following reception centers: Shemaisi, Jomoom, and Al-Medinah Al-Munawarah (Airport – Hegrah Center).

This project contributes to guide buses from reception centers to service groups places via maps. These maps included street names, street types, service places, some special landmarks, neighborhood names, and important places. Also, they linked service groups places with reception centers.

Also, what is worth mentioning is CAD & GIS Company has developed the above mentioned GIS system which also assists in printing guide maps for transporting pilgrims. ArcGIS software is used for the development of this project.
